That's a Wrap on 2024!

Well 2024 was certainly a year of emotional highs and lows for us!

We said goodbye to 2 of our matriarchs, Ducati and my beloved Ally Oop. Cheyenne won Reserve Best Overall at Junior Provincials. And then there was Memphis' gut wrenching DCM diagnosis, and her miracle recovery. 2024 is a wrap for us, and here's a brief summary of how our kids did.

Ducati - BIF Can Ch Lakilanni Dreamwindz Footloose FCh SRM in 2022.

November 12, 2008 - July 24, 2024

She was supposed to have a year off from the ring, but Cheyenne missed showing her so she went to a few shows, and only coursed half the season. Those shows allowed her to get her GCH Bronze, she became a multi-group winner, a Specialty winner, and finished 2024 as Canada's #2 Greyhound in both conformation and lure coursing.

What can we say about this young boy!!! He wasted no time getting not only his Can Ch (as a junior puppy) but also his GCH at the age of 14 months. He was BOS at the Canadian National Whippet Specialty, and also managed to go Select dog at FOUR other Specialties (ALCA, NWCC Regional X 2, and FGC). We cannot thank Tracy enough for allowing this beautiful young boy to come to Alberta!!!

Our wee spitfire!!! She also wasted no time getting not only her Can Ch (at 10 months old) but she also got her GCH at 14 months of age!! She got 2 Best Puppy in Specialties, and went Select bitch at 2 Specialties (1 of them as a puppy). She has gotten several group placements including a Group 1!!! She's even finished in the top 20 Whippets in Canada.

Memphis' 🩷

Her coursing season was cut short for obvious reasons, so there will be no top 10 placement for her this year (for the first time since she hit the field at 2 years old). She did, however, enjoy being in the ring with Cheyenne and her good friend Rosemary and even got a Select bitch placement at the ALCA Specialty (from the field class) and won Best Field Dog in Specialty at FGC. She also got her Scent Detection Instinct title!!

She finished her Can Ch and finally figured out that it's okay to leave mum and go chase the bunny!! She had fun being test dog at several coursing trials this year.

Envy 💛, Chill 💙, and Levi 💙

These three saw the ring a couple of times and also got to chase the bunny, even managing to bring home a couple of placements running as veterans. And Levi thoroughly enjoyed being test dog!!!

Charlie Brown 🤎

He has LOVED being in the ring as a veteran with Cheyenne and even got a Best Veteran in Show at the RDDKC spring show!!! Milo 🖤 was a welcome addition to our family and has enjoyed being CB's BFF and constant companion!!
